Image for Charlotte reveals how Radio Clyde backed Craig Whyte’s Ibrox regime

Craig Whyte RangersCharlotte Fakeover has uncovered the role played by Radio Clyde defending Craig Whyte during his brief time at Ibrox.

The first lady of internet bampottery has uncovered access to many files and papers surrounding the goings on at Ibrox from the First Tier Tax Tribunal through to various media matters.

As the dust settled on the first transfer window under the former billionaire Ibrox reign the realisation set in that Matt Mackay, Lee Wallace and Juan Ortiz weren’t quite signings swooped from under the noses of Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Needing to find a positive from the lack of transfer activity and being knocked out of both the Champions League and Europa Cup word ‘leaked’ out of how Rangers had turned down a £10m bid from an unknown club in an unknown league for Nikita Jelavic.

While many doubted the accuracy of the story it was good enough to reassure most Rangers fans that the club was in sound hands as they established an early lead in the SPL title race.

Shortly afterwards, with no mention of Jelavic, Celtic’s Peter Lawwell told a media conference of how the club had turned down a £29m bid for Gary Hooper from an unknown club… in an unknown league…. in an unknown universe.

That gag sat uncomfortably with some prompting former Radio Clyde pundit Darrell King into action as the email from Charlotte Fakes reveals.

In an internal Ibrox memo a member of the clubs PR staff explains to Whyte that ‘Peter Lawwell has spoken to the media today and made a comment- Celtic had a 29 million pound bid for Gary Hooper from an unnamed agent for an unnamed club!!!!!!!! Rejected last night.

‘Clearly a dig at the Jelavic bid news on SKY last night.

‘The papers will use this remark tomorrow so I’ve asked Darrell King to quote a senior Rangers source on Radio Clyde’s phone in tonight at 6pm stating ‘Lawwell ought to know better than making snyde remarks about transfer speculation he knows nothing about’. Darrell says he’ll do his best to fight our corner.’

The Ibrox email may cause some embarrassment at Radio Clyde who also decided not to broadcast a quote from a Charles Green interview when he used the phrase ‘no surrender’ regarding ticket sales until after Green had stood down as chief executive.

With Charlotte Fakes appearing to have a limitless supply of material there is bound to be concern at Radio Scotland about what revelations may be about to be released with the state broadcasters’ sports department dominated by Jim Traynor before he took up a full-time communications position at Ibrox.

As much as I’m enjoying this whole charade as it unfolds, don’t hold your breath for any embarrassment from Radio Snide. Instead, be prepared for the usual mantra…”Lets move on!”. Still, enjoying it all the same! H x 2

It’s heart warming to see how all “the people” rallied round and did their bit to destroy their own team.

I’m sure there’s a lesson in this about the dangers of unquestioning loyalty and blind obedience. But I guess even the more intelligent among them wont learn it.

  • Tony says:

It comes as no surprise that RC did their bit to help out Rangers. They have no credibility whatsoever. I used to listen regularly until they blatantly avoided telling the truth about rangers. Easiest way to hit back, don’t listen to Clyde 1 or Clyde 2 SWITCH THEM OFF.
