Ally McCoist newsWill the SFA ask Ally McCoist to send them his list of a hundred players and OFFICIALS that bet on Scottish football?

Yesterday in a typical show of deflection the wise-cracking Sevco boss brandished some sheets of paper which he had put together in ten minute containing the names of players and officials who liked to put on a wee fiver or a wee tenner on a wee coupon.

Equally typical of McCoist he didn’t want to reveal any of the names on his list- in sharp contrast for his demand to know the names of the SFA panel that applied a registration ban on Rangers (IL) for offences secondly only to match fixing.

In most circumstances it would be laughable to suggest that the SFA would take action against a club that seems except from publishing audited accounts but in recent weeks there has been two signs of resistance from Hampden to the constant attacks coming from Ibrox.

Last month, both current chief executive Craig Mather and McCoist, publicly questioned why Hearts hadn’t been fined for going into administration yet Rangers had been hit with a £50,000 fine in February 2011.

Without receiving a formal request from Ibrox the SFA responded stating that the fine had been requested by the Rangers lawyer, in typical SFA fashion they delivered the punishment requested.

Yesterday after the Ibrox boss admitted that he didn’t know the rules regarding betting on football and requested that everyone sit around the table for a discussion another statement emerged from the bowels of Hampden.

An SFA spokesman said: “The rule is clearly stated in the judicial panel protocol.

“Team staff, players, referees, or anyone else under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA, shall not bet in any way on a football match.

“If he needs further clarification on that, he can call us.”

Asked if he knew about the betting ban McCoist stated:  “To be honest with you, no, I wasn’t because I hadn’t studied them.

“If it’s in their rules, it’s in their rules. I don’t know if it’s too strict but everybody should sit down and know the rules.

“Not enough people do know the rules – and I include myself in that.”

After laughing and joking his way through the media conference there was one topic that the former Question of Sport skipper wouldn’t be drawn on.

With his list of 100 players and officials that bet on football at his side McCoist was asked about Black betting against his own team.

Quick as a flash he responded with: “Can we just move on to football please. I think I’ve said all I want to say on it.”

Black can get odds of 7/1 on an Airdrie Utd win tonight over Sevco with Ladbrokes pricing the draw at 4/1.

    He’s a sneak & a coward.
Does anyone remember Ian Paisleys famous ‘we gave our certificates’ rant?

Mccoist’s outburst was modelled on that.
    Says it all!

  • Andy says:

Asked if he knew about the betting ban McCoist stated: ”To be honest with you, no, I wasn’t because I hadn’t studied them.

There’s a lot this clown hasn’t studied but surely anyone with an ounce of sense can see that betting on your own team to lose is unacceptable.

He reverts to type and deflects from the serious issues and the MSM simply fall into line.

  • Mark says:

He’ll know the officials alright they all check there coupons in the lodge on a Saturday night along with the pieman HH

He is a fat sleekit whispering coward .

  • bhoys 'r us says:

To quote a friend of mine…
If you were in a team managed by Sally McCoist…would you not bet against your own team? 🙂

  • StarOfStein67 says:

He set the tone of the meeting by tossing Mark Guidi out the presser. ‘ intimidation’

‘ To be honest with you McCoist ‘ or ‘ I’m not going to lie to you McCoist ‘, in every interview you guaranteed to hear one of the two, he’s a total snake.

What is more worrying about this is not the player’s o his list, it’s the officials who allegedly on his list ?? Last night on the phone in they where quick to start the ” och it’ll be club officials he means, not referee’s “.

That needs adressed immediately by the SFA, because that is a very Serious allegation to make, and it’s the sort of poison that needs nipped in the bud before it grows arms n legs.

An ICT player came out yesterday and confirmed @ the start of each season an SFA member comes round the clubs explaining and reminding all players/staff etc of the rules of betting, maybe Alastair ‘ to be honest with you’ McCoist was of sick that day when that meeting took place, if an official from the Sfa spoke to the Ibrox players @ beginning of the season then they could put this MCoist nonsense to bed by confirming it in a statement.

This fat sleekit scrote needs punishment from the authorities because he dangerous individual, him and his dog whistle, and his rabid angry hounds straining at the leash to itching cos harm.

We all know the SFA will do absolutely nothing. They have continually failed to hold this mob to account and they know it. I would imagine a completely different response from both the SFA and the lapdog media if the comments were made by NL.

  • Ciaran says:

In short, the answer to the question at the top of this very well written article, is …….NO.

  • Jimbo102 says:

The sleekit one has outdid himself on this one. He’s so feckin low he could limbo dance under a snakes belly.
How plain and unambiguous is that rule but yet again the sleekit moron has found a way to communicate to the Ibroke and MSM orcs that ” there’s nothing to see here, move on”.
It’ll be interesting to see the result of this case as I would imagine Uefa and Fifa would have a close eye on this.
I hope Willie Collum is on the list as having a wee punt as I would dearly love to see him get his jotters.
    Hail hail

  • Thomas Haverstock says:

The boy is such a donkeys ars Need a labotomy ASAP Hope it happens sometimes soon Hail Hail

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

Bang on in the last para Joe, I don’t think anyone would care about playrs having a coupon on, but when a player is betting on the team he plays for to be beaten (ffs) that’s surely another matter altogether!
As for the sleekit slabbery slob, I can only echo the sentiments above.
‘Sleekit’ doesn’t cover it for this clown’to be honest with you’.

    HH

  • Sweeney Hughes says:

Ps. Did no-one ask sleekit if he ever put a line on?
Or better still has he ever put a line on for the huns to get beat??!!
‘Absolootly’ nothing would surprise me with these bandits.
Infact, is challs fond of a punt, I can’t see a ‘big ‘anded’ sell proclaimed ‘devious’ bassa like him missing out on a money maker like that.

  • Luca says:

Great question Joe. Surely one the main stream media in Scotland will pursue to sell their papers. The news hounds will be onto it.

  • The silver fhox says:

It won’t happen Luca. To investigate this will disturb a hornet’s nest of huge proportions. It is against the interests of too many to let this be investigated properly. It is sad and disgusting, but we have come to expect this in our little corner of the world.
