Ally McCoist transfer newsFurious Ally McCoist couldn’t hide his anger after watching Sevco draw 1-1 at home to Stranraer.

After 15 straight wins hopes were high that the League One new boys would complete the league campaign without dropping a single point.

That dream was ended when Jamie Longworth found the back of the net in the 90th minute to cancel out Lee McCulloch’s first half penalty.

Longworth’s strike gave Stranraer’s collection of bus drivers, bin men and shelf-stackers a welcome point but after a lengthy lock-in with his players McCoist couldn’t contain his anger about the result.

“I will be 100 per cent honest with you – I actually couldn’t give a monkey’s about the record,” he claimed. “I really couldn’t.

“I’m not interested in the record, I’m only concerned about the level of performance that we gave and it was extremely disappointing.

“It was a really disappointing day for us. Certainly I’m of the opinion that Stranraer more than deserved their point.

“The players have got a lot of praise for going on a great run since the start of the league campaign and it’s been thoroughly deserved but I think they would admit that wasn’t good enough and we all deserve the criticism that will be placed on us.”

Stranraer boss Stevie Aitken said: “To come here and perform the way we did was pleasing. I thought we thoroughly deserved the point. For long spells we were in control of the game. If it wasn’t for a wee dodgy penalty decision we might have got more.”

The game was the first at Ibrox since the existing board of directors saw off the rebels at the clubs’ first ever AGM, no agreement has yet been reached to reduce McCoist’s salary of £800,000 a year.

As well as being one of the clubs top earners the popular former Question of Sport skipper has a 3% shareholding in the company.

  • jas says:

That’s McCulloch now racked up something like 11 goals for the season, anyone any idea how many of those have been “honest mistakes/dodgy decisions” leading to penalties from an incompetent from the ludge.

If they are still around next season and the one after next, don’t be surprised if their goatshaggin friends give them more of the same.

The more points they rack up now, the more of a lead they will have should they be deducted 25 points for another “event”! Hopefully it’ll be messy

How embarrassing it must be to drop points against part time players. Another good win for the Bhoys today. HH

McCoist has an 800000 plus salary and 3% shares of the Newco. He fails to support the present Board at the so called AGM ( no audited Accounts ) and like the wimp that his prozy for his shares to some supporters. Why has this supporter of the fans not do the right thing and resign?

Because he is too busy ripping of the Newco support, getting as much money as he is able to squeeze out of Newco before it goes broke .He is such a sleazebag

  • Wul says:

Just found out that a good friend of mine had lost his job with GHA, they treated the guy appallingly, the organisation should hang its head in shame that they have destroyed his life and broke his family’s hearts, those responsible know who they are and should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Cal says:

He really is a piss poor manager is McCoist. At least Lennon was able to redeem his losses to County, Utrecht, Caley and Karaganday with wins against Rennes, Barca, Spartak and Ajax.

Poor Sally has went from chucking away a 10 point SPL lead with defeats to St.Mirren and Kilmarnock to getting beat by Annan, Peterhead and Forfar. What a record!!!!!!
‘Twas a wonderful day when McCoist became a manager. Hilariously wonderful.

  • drawkcab says:

I wonder how many zombie betting slips are littering the streets of zombieland tonight.

When you think an honest guy, like Malky Mackay, gets sacked.Fat. Sally would have been
forced to walk at any other club, for having such a shambolic record.

However,I want to see Lenny whisper in his ear, after each spanking we give them, when they
return to the top flight !!
