Dave King newsDave King has accused the Sevco board of guaranteeing Celtic’s Champions League passage for years to come.

The findings of last week’s 128 day review provided nothing of substance but included the goal of winning the SPFL Premiership in 2017 with no means of achieving that target.

Sevco fans are increasingly questioning King believing that it’s overdue of the South African based tyre-kicker to come up with firm proposals rather than an endless procession of statements.

After slamming the review as completely superficial King turned his attention to his greatest fear- a procession of Celtic title parties.

The man described as a glib and shameless liar by a South African judge stated: “This is a great review for Celtic fans. It is stated that the board might only raise £20million over the next three years.

“This paltry amount will guarantee that Celtic will be in a league of its own for the next few years – and possibly permanently thereafter. Celtic will continue to enjoy exclusive access to the Champions League windfalls and will go from financial strength to strength. The gap could become financially irreversible.”

In August 2012 Charles Green promised that Sevco would be debt free and claimed the club would have a better balance sheet than Celtic.

Since his initial investment to join Dave Murray’s Champions of Europe project in 1999 King has kept his hand in his pocket and refused to spend a penny on the club he apparently supports.

King sat on the board as Murray set up the ruinous EBT scheme to bring in players that the club couldn’t afford.

As Craig Whyte stumped up £1 for the club King stayed in the background sitting on the board of directors as Ally McCoist’s side lost out in the Champions League and Europa League sending the club towards administration and liquidation.

With no positive plans other than a mystical season ticket trust fund to offer concerned fans King has been issuing regular statements with no solutions to offer other than attacks on the current board of directors.

King also called on the police to investigate the dealings of the board following the December AGM which he didn’t attend.

He added: “The board continues the blame game and takes no responsibility for the current debacle. In truth, it is this board’s stubborn refusal to secure fresh equity that is the cause of the present fragile state of the club’s finances.

“The board clearly hoped to muddle along by using the season ticket advances from fans. This review should reinforce to fans that this board cannot serve as an appropriate custodian for their season ticket money.”

Responding to the latest statement club chairman David Somers said: “If Mr King wishes to engage in constructive dialogue, then the door remains open.

“Regrettably however, he continues to make fictitious, inaccurate and misleading comments which are very unhelpful.”
