Bolton Wanderers - Neil Lennon Press ConferenceNeil Lennon has been charged by the FA after his comments about referee Darren Drysdale following Bolton’s 4-3 defeat at QPR on Saturday.

The FA alleges that the remarks “constitute improper conduct in that they allege and/or imply bias on the part of the match official, and/or bring the game into disrepute, in contravention of Rule E3(1)”.

There were a number of controversial decisions throughout the match before the home side scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

He was a disgrace, and absolute disgrace,” the former Celtic boss said after the match. “I have not seen a more biased performance from a referee in a long, long time. He gave QPR everything he possibly could. I was so frustrated with that.

Any 50-50 challenges the free kick would look like it was going to us and he invented a free-kick for QPR.

It was a really frustrating performance from him from my point of view anyway. You are asking me the question, so you can see it as well.”

Given the option to dilute his claim of bias Lennon added: “I don’t mind using those words after a performance like that because it was there for everyone to see.

I thought he was really poor. I don’t know what he was seeing out there. He missed so much and he gave QPR so much and it’s bewildering.”

Lenny should know better but I can share his frustrations. The same happened at serco on Saturday and had it happened at Celtic Park then the media would have had a field day going into the ref`s background – – Where he was brought up ,which team he and his family supported and they do not need to look too far to find Mr McKendrick came from a family brought up in sevco (was going to say history but they have none ) supporting family. I hope Peter Houston throws that at the SFA when they hear his case. Ops nearly forgot not allowed to use that against serco but all right to use against Celtic..

      Is this a history class?
If so, I think I have the answer to you question.
An extinct club who went into liquidation a few years back, ceasing all existence.
They went to the wall because they were caught cheating, avoiding taxes, paying players and management under the table. They were found to be corrupt and as a result no longer exist.

There! Do I win the prize?

I seen this game Lennon is spot on, refs don’t need to explain any thing talking out is a mangers job and in my view Lennon was 100 percent right too. When Lennon was at Celtic he was out spoken and this got him in much trouble. But any one with no interest in any Glasgow team could see by a mile Lennon was right too speak out wernt the head ref Dallas a couple of years ago heard filmed or taped singing the sash the day he maid some criminal decisions against Celtic Lennon stay the way you are

If anyone is able to detect bias it’s Neil.
Scottish football hated this man for years, targetted him from all levels, backed up by a disgraceful so called judicial system off the field, and corrupt set of rules on it.
Who remembers the charge for swearing on the touchline during a game with St. Mirren? The only person in the history of the Scottish game to be hit with such a charge, and the charge came from a fan! Yes, Neil is qualified more than anyone else on earth.

To say the referee was biased is a joke. Who can name a controversial moment in this game? I only saw a tackle by Konshesky that went unpunished. When the ball was pinched from Green, this happens in lots of games and the Bolton player was lucky not to be booked. In fact 2 qpr players booked for virtually nothing and note – zero Bolton players booked.

Lennon was whinging at the start of the match right through to the end – what message does this convey to his players. BW are going one way under Lennon and that is down. They have no backbone in the team and, under Lennon, no mental strength. Teams that go down always bemoan their luck. Teams that stay up make their own luck. Lennon is just a bad tempered, immature ex-footballer who has no future in management unless he grows up
