Ronny Deila was left frustrated by Celtic’s lack of tempo and creativity in the 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock.

The day after being given a wholesome endorsement by Peter Lawwell it all went flat as the hoops failed to penetrate a well drilled Kilmarnock defence.

Gary Mackay-Steven, Nadir Ciftci and Scott Allan were all thrown on in the second half but the visitors defence emerged unscathed leaving Deila frustrated.

There was a lack of tempo, creativity and timing in the last third of the pitch,” the Celtic boss said. “We didn’t create enough, even though we had chances to win the game.

We want to win every game and perform well. The boys had a good attitude and really wanted to fight today and they did everything they could but the timing in the last third of the pitch wasn’t good.

When we talk about the league, we have scored a lot of goals but we didn’t do that today so I was really disappointed about that.

The positive was that we had a clean sheet and I felt confident we would do that as we were defending well.

I understand why teams defend like that. It’s hard to beat that, especially when you don’t get the first goal as they get deeper and it gets more difficult.

“That’s when it’s important to keep width in the play and I was disappointed about the last 30 minutes as we started to get everyone in the centre of the pitch so it was easier for them to defend.”

We lack tempo because of his formation, when teams sit in we can’t break through because there is no c**t up front, am getting fed up to f**k with the pish on display, av had it with deila as well his signings have been nothing short of disgraceful we have went backwards about 20 odd year with him in charge!! Clueless

Lacking tempo says Ronnie?…….that has to go down as one of the worst performances we have had recently, our manager takes it as a positive that we kept a clean sheet! nonsense Ronnie…lets face facts Killie sorry to say deserved to get a draw.

Just what does Armstrong bring to the team? when was the last time he had a good game for Celtic? no wonder he was subbed with GMS not any better, sometimes I think these 2 found their level with Dundee Utd……………jury still out on the manager.

Bankier………a disgrace to OUR club with that statement

Too much slow sideways passing, not for the first time. Some urgency badly needed

Well said. Deila not got a clue, talks pure pish. Let’s wise up guys he ain’t got it.

Frustrating and would like to see the penalty claims again, Bobby is always consistently bad. We always seem to lack a spark when Commons isn’t playing, but we’ll still do 5 in a row !

Is this yet another frustration that we will learn from ? I’m sick of reading about Ronny’s comments that we “will learn from this”.

FFS!! It’s the same old thing week in week out, Same formation regardless on how things are panning out on the field. A sub comes on and he just slots in and does the same old pish that his predecessor does. I don’t agree with some of the previous comments that Armstrong, GMS are suddenly rubbish, rather I think that they’re natural game has been coached out of them.

These boys don’t become bad over night. When I re-evaluate the game I see the same old thing. We all know that teams are going to come to Parkhead and sit behind and soak up any pressure and hope to hit on the break. Its up to us to get in behind defences and make chances. When you watch the game again, and indeed whatever game you watch, our running off the ball, creating space, closing down is virtually non existent.

I can only assume that this boils down to the WAY they are told to play. Deila promised that he wanted to promote fast tempo, pressing type of football. Can anyone honestly say that they’ve seen that over this season other than maybe a handful of occasions ? And that being over opposition that we should be dominating?

Football is not a complicated game. You bring players in to mould into a team because of their natural abilities and what they do best. Our players look like they don’t know what the f!@# they are supposed to do. If they don’t do what the COACHES want then they are dropped !! Case in point Stokes !!

I don’t give a monkeys what he does off the field, if he bangs in 25 + a season then he’ll do me. That goes for anyone pulling on the hoops. I think that has been the problem with Commons this season. He is arguably our most creative player and personally I think he is at odds with what is being preached in the dressing room.

I certainly don’t believe that a player is bigger than the club but when you see he is clearly frustrated from the direction, or lack of, from the dugout it is easy to see why he is frustrated. I do believe that we have a good squad of players at Celtic but their talents are being wasted by inept management.

Sadly I don’t see things changing whilst our present board are happy to claw in the profits from so called developed players. I’m sorry to say but Ronny is only there to keep the status quo and ensure the pounds keep rolling in as long as we have a market to keep selling off our best players.

Call me a cynic and I’m one of the ones who only supports when times are good, but I I’ve been “dyed in the wool” from the day I was set upon this earth and seen many triumphs and downfalls but it pains me to argue against this style of football when we are sitting on op of the League.

Surely Bhoys and Ghirls from all the videos etc that we’ve seen from the past that we can call this brand of football currently on show “The Celtic Way” !

      Here, here.

All the sideways and backwards passing is clearly down to coaching. It even pisses off my wife!
