Sevco panic as Hibs draw level

Warburton MarkLee Wallace is the latest Sevco figure to claim that they are not concerned about Hibs’ Championship challenge.

Waldo was part of Ally McCoist’s tax free Allstars that threw away a 15 point lead over Celtic in the winter of 2011 with the collapse of the new club following a similar pattern.

At the start of November Sevco went to Easter Road looking to build on their eight point lead but returned to Ibrox on the back of a 2-1 defeat.

After that loss veteran hitman Kenny Miller discussed Hibs title bid saying: “Time will tell with them but for us it is immaterial what they do.

We are approaching every game to win it. If we do that, we win the league – it’s as simple as that. If Hibs can sustain their form and do that as well then fair play to them.

But we are only looking at getting back on track against Alloa at Ibrox on Saturday and after that looking forward to the next game.”

In midweek Hibs beat Livingston to trim the difference between the two clubs down to five points but that didn’t concern Mark Warburton.

Under the headline ‘Hibs don’t worry Warbs’ the former city trader joked to the club website: “You can tell by the worried look on my face at the moment. We have a game in hand, and if we win that, we are five points clear.

We’ve lost one game of football all season, so it’s not about Hibs, or about Falkirk. It’s about Rangers, and from our point of view, all we can do is try to go out there and win every game we play, and if we do that, we will be in good shape.”

Yesterday, with Hibs level on points at the top of the table Wallace claimed: “None of us have spoken about Hibs and none of us will. We have no interest in what they are doing.

“Our focus is fully on Rangers and we can learn from Saturday’s dropped points.

Warbo’s revolution will have to continue without midfield powerhouse John Eustace who has walked away after five months of contract negotiations.

Great to see young Liam and the Hibees doing so well,to all you Board Nockers, as if our great club didnt have enough enemies,I am certain wee Rod would welcome you with open arms, good luck with that.H.H.

If you ignore what’s going on in your own back yard god knows where we will end up. Some of our board don’t belong at Celtic. They behave the opposite way to what our club was set up for.

    • Mark says:

The board are a disgrace to our club, bankier calls fans ‘racists’
Lawwell thinks it’s ‘ bad business sence’ paying a living wage while picking up a million quid a year himself.
Livingstone voted to take money off the poor, totally against the ethos of our club.
      All 3 should be removed

Same club is it, that’ll be 25 point deduction then, or new cub 15 point deduction for administration should be interesting to see how the authorities, try and bend the rules for Sevco this time. Bet league reconstruction will start to appear in the press.

Be very sad if this is the last we hear of midfield dynamo John Eustace. Frankly, after last nights performance in the Bernabau, I’d be very surprised if Benitez wasn’t straight on the phone to the midfield general about a January transfer.

Mark warburton- never worked as a city trader, he worked in the City of London at wnat I do not know

    • Carntyne says:

So, he too may not be a millionaire with wealth off the radar.

      That’s a shame.

Rangers* could do with a large loan at the moment

  • KevinBhoy says:

Should there in fact be any ‘further’ punishment at all? Haven’t ‘they’ been punished enough? Won’t someone please think of the children?
