Whinging Mark Warburton is set to grill the SFA over Andy Halliday’s yellow card for gesturing at fans during Sevco’s 2-0 win at Morton on Monday night.
Earlier this season Warbs complained to the SFA about a decision made by Willie Collum, the Euro 2016 whistler hasn’t had a Sevco match since.
Halliday was given a second yellow card and ordered off after ‘celebrating’ his side’s second goal against the Greenock giants. Every week somewhere in Scottish football similar decisions are made.
While television cameras picked up Hally making a clenched fist gesture to the Morton fans eye witnesses claim that other gestures were involved with the assistant referee possibly the target.
Ten minutes earlier the former Bradford City ace had been booked for a rugby style tackle on a Morton player in front of the same assistant referee.
Raging over the television pictures former city trader Warbs snarled: “I will seek some clarity and try to seek some sort of explanation. I think everyone in football knows that if we start to go down that route, we would be booking players and sending them off every time there is a game played.
“It was a totally inappropriate decision. Andy is a local boy, a passionate Rangers fan and all he was guilty of was celebrating that goal. If that becomes an issue, we really do have a problem in the game. I will wait to hear an explanation, but it will just be the normal.
“Andy Halliday was guilty of celebrating a goal. We get the very important second goal and he celebrates in the middle of the pitch. To get a second yellow card for
that is beyond belief.
“Look at the reaction of Andy Halliday. He can’t work out what has gone on. Look at our bench. We get no dialogue. That’s not a good enough process.”
While Warbs fumes over a player getting booked during a win over Morton it looks like the transfer window will close without disturbing Dave King’s transfer war-chest.
While he’s talking to the SFA about refs he might thank them for the dozen penalties his side have already had, some very dubious indeed

Remember big Jan getting sent off for celebrating a goal with his own fans. Remember Lennon getting a ban for swearing in the dugout. But let’s try and change the ruling for a Sevco player( who’s a fan) because it’s just know right, that rule will need to be bent or changed for Warbo. Insults your intelligence.
