Brendan Rodgers takes his side to Dundee tomorrow bhoyed up by the stunning performance against Manchester City.

Moussa Dembele has taken up most of the headlines with his two goal performance against Pep Guardiola’s side with Arsenal and City joining Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race to sign the hoops striker.

Despite the plaudits of a thrilling European performance Dundee will stand no ceremony when the lunchtime match kicks off.

Rodgers is full of respect for the Scottish game and will demand the same level of performance from his players as ‘welcomed’ City to Celtic Park.

“The players are coming off such a high but if you want to have that winning mentality, it doesn’t matter where you go, you have to get the job done,” the Irishman said.

“For us, it is about recovering, the (City) game is gone. We put in a great performance in the game, it was a great night, but it is on to the next game now. The focus and intensity has to be away at Dundee.

“We need another good performance that can gain us a result and then we can close up to go away on international duty.

“Like all teams up here, they are never easy games, they are going to make it very tough. We will respect them like we did Manchester City.

“It is always about us, how we impose our style and intensity into the game and if we do that we always have a chance of winning games.”

4862344MOUSSA DEMBELE

Is this the match for the on form striker to ‘break his duck’ away from Celtic Park.

From the moment that he tucked a penalty away against Astana there has been no holding back with the French striker whose admirers grow by the day.

Fortunately he has his head screwed on, choosing Celtic as a career move rather than a place on a Premiership bench, and will know that he is expected to follow up his European heroics with some domestic damage.

GRIFFITHS

LEIGH GRIFFITHS

Showed against Kilmarnock that even after a month out of action his goal instinct is as sharp as ever.

It was at Dundee that Griffiths first made his mark in the game with the Dens Park fans still respecting the striker.

With Dembele now established as Brendan Rodgers’ first choice Griffiths has to state the case for a twin strike force but as recent experiences prove the former Hibs striker is ready to take on whatever challenges he faces for a place in the Celtic side.

SINCLAIR

SCOTT SINCLAIR

Can the former Aston Villa man make it a magnificent seven?

The playing surface at Dens Park will be ideal for Sinclair to exhibit his skills and hopefully extend his scoring run.

His signing was hardly greeted with scenes of joy but two months in it’s hard to imagine a Celtic team without his blend of skills, pace and goals.

Dundee will be well briefed on his threats from every area of the pitch.

FORREST

JAMES FORREST

With Sinclair getting so much attention the goalscoring achievements of Forrest have been overlooked.

Forrest has ‘only’ scored in four league matches this season, double his tally for last season, and laid on many assists including the opener against Manchester City on Wednesday.

Injury free and bursting with confidence, like Sinclair, he’ll thrive on the space provided at Dens Park and look for another of his trademark ‘brush’ goals as he fires the ball into the net with the outside of his foot.

ROGIC

TOM ROGIC

Is another who has been in fine goal scoring form after forcing his way into the team, and a new contract.

Strangely for an Aussie there seems to be a question mark over his fitness, for 45 minutes he went head-to-head with Manchester City’s celebrated midfielders, but after the break it seemed only a matter of time before he was replaced.

Like the team Rodgers is creating Rogic is getting better game by game.
