Moussa Dembele is in third place in the race to find the Golden Boy of 2016.
With almost 25,000 votes cast the Celtic striker has picked up 6% of the vote with just Marcus Rashford and Gianluigi Donnarumma pulling in more votes.
Dembele’s double against Manchester City has put him in the spotlight and earned a nomination for the prestigious poll being run by Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Since joining Celtic in the close season the 20-year-old has grabbed 12 goals with the first a priceless penalty against Astana to take Celtic into the play-off stage of the Champions League qualifiers.
As his first signing Brendan Rodgers has been delighted by the return from the £500,000 signing and hasn’t been slow to praise the striker.

Many managers are loathe to make comparisons with young players but Rodgers is happy to compare his striker with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.
“I worked with Didier at Chelsea and I think Moussa’s of that ilk. He is still young. Didier came into Chelsea at 24 or something like that. This boy’s just turned 20. He’s still a baby.
“What I see in Moussa is a big-game player. He comes alive in the big games. He is making nice strides. I think he can get to the top but there are some things to work upon yet.
“Listen, Didier went on to do great things in his career. This boy is just starting out but he has made brave steps and he was a brave boy to move away from Paris to London at the age of 14.
“He wanted to be developed. He knew I had worked with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge — and so he thought we’d improve him as a player and his value.
“But also he wanted to become a winner. It is very early for him — we are not even in October yet — but he has made a great start.”
