Brendan Rodgers wants to extend his 100% Hampden record on Sunday against Aberdeen.

The hoops boss has heard all about Celtic’s recent Hampden problems but prefers to draw on his own record since taking over from Ronny Deila.

Last season Celtic unexpectedly lost semi-finals to Ross County and Sevco forcing Ronny Deila to step down despite winning the title with ease.

St Mirren, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Inverness Caley Thistle have also inflicted misery on the hoops at Hampden but Rodgers is determined that his new look side continue where they left off in the semi-final victory over Sevco.

A brilliant late goal from Moussa Dembele settled the issue allowing the hoops to return to Hampden for the first domestic trophy of the season.

Celtic have already beaten Aberdeen twice in the league but the 2014 League Cup winners have sold out their ticket allocation and are confident of taking the trophy north again on Sunday evening.
