Jordan Larsson has signed a three year contract with Dutch side NEC Nijmegen.

The 19-year-old follows in the footsteps of his father who left Helsingborg for Holland in 1992 to join Feyenoord before moving on to Celtic.

Swedish u-21 striker Jordan was in the headlines for the wrong reasons when he clashed with a group of ultra fans after Helsingborg were relegated to the second tier of Swedish football through a play off.

Henrik resigned as manager shortly afterwards with Jordan moving today to Holland to start a new career.

Nijmegen manager Edwin de Kruijff said: “With Jordan we get a striker is comfortable with the ball at his feet and who can play in several attacking positions.

He has excellent technique and mentality, and despite the fact that he is only 19 years, he has nevertheless already gained lots of experience.”

Nijmegen are currently sitting in 12th place in the 18 team Eredevisie with 19 points from 17 matches.

Jordan will join his new team-mates in in Marbella tomorrow where they’ll be based for some warm weather training.

In 65 matches for Helsingborg he scored 18 goals, during his dad’s time at Celtic Jordan was regularly seen cheering at games or enjoying an after match kick about.
