After their annoying tactics to unsettle Craig Gordon Chelsea have gone one step further by going public about their interest in Craig Gordon.
One French news agency has claimed that an offer of £34m has been made for the former Fulham striker.
If the bid had been made at the start of January some serious negotiations could have taken place, coming 30 hours before the transfer window closes it looks like serious mischief making.
Chelsea look to be playing to the gallery with their bid knowing that it’s one that Celtic can’t be seen to accept- however if the offer reaches £40m it’s time for some tough decisions.
Fortunately there has been no sign of Dembele rocking the boat- if half a dozen games a season had been on his wish list he could have joined Chelsea or Spurs in the summer.
