Brendan Rodgers is still hoping to get one more transfer completed this month.

The hoops boss moved quickly at the start of the transfer window to sign Kouassi Eboue with the £2.8m midfielder expecting to make his debut at home to St Johnstone on Wednesday night.

Rodgers is in the happy position of having two players competing for every position with the only requirement being to bring in players of the quality to make an impact in the Champions League.

During the summer transfer window he drafted in five new players with the stand-out’s being Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair.

Similar quality to those two would be warmly welcomed by the Celtic support for who In Brendan We Trust is the watchword.

Discussing his transfer intentions over the remainder of the window the Celtic boss told the state broadcaster: “I didn’t want to bring in too many – but we have an option we would hope we could get over the line.

“It’s about slowly building the squad to help the players who are already here.

“There might be one or two players who go out on loan. I suspect there will be some change in the squad before the end of the window.”

It seems that there is little interest in any club’s taking Nadir Ciftci or Logan Bailly out on loan with both players on lengthy contracts.

Celtic have had a number of enquiries about Kris Commons, Gary Mackay-Steven and Liam Henderson.
