This time next year there will be a few familiar faces missing.
Efe Ambrose and Kris Commons said their farewells to Celtic today with both men key elements of the club’s current dominance of the Scottish scene.
Both men have had a hand in two title wins with Ambrose collecting a Championship winners medal after Commons provided Neil Lennon’s side with a jump start before Christmas.
While Commons wore a sensible suit Ambrose couldn’t resist digging out a number four jersey, hoodie and celebrating with a backflip off of the presentation podium.
As they set off on a final lap of hour both players were joined by their kids soaking up the unique atmosphere of the place that they’ve considered home for the last half dozen years.
Never one to shrink into the background Lisa Hague, partner of Commons kept an eye on their three exuberant kids- it’s going to be tough next season telling them that there won’t be another Celtic bow with their dad.
