Gerry McCulloch has joined Celtic as Head of TV and Digital Media after leaving Radio Clyde.
McCulloch hosted the weekday phone-in and Saturday Super Scoreboard programmes where he’d regularly indulge in ‘Old Firm banter’ although more recently he’s adopted a demob happy attitude to those matters.

During Setanta’s time working with Scottish football McCulloch was a presenter for Celtic TV with that service falling by the wayside when the Irish based station closed down it’s UK operation.
Celtic’s in house media operations have been fairly limited over the last decade with most resources appearing to be spent on their online subscription TV service.
Providing free content via social media would certainly bring in a much larger audience with the opportunity to raise funds through advertising rather than subscription fees.
McCulloch will almost certainly be the face and voice of such an operation as the club attempts to by-pass traditional outlets to obtain direct contact with supporters.
