Brendan Rodgers believes that the ‘secret’ to Celtic’s success lies at Lennoxtown.

With 30 wins and four draws from 34 SPFL matches, one trophy secured and another final place booked the Irishman has enjoyed an incredible first season to compliment reaching the group phase of the Champions League.

Remarkably the success has been achieved with just two additions to last season’s under achieving squad.

Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair have made a massive impact on the team but it’s very much a training ground operation rather than a cheque book triumph.

Speaking on Sunday at Celtic’s Player of the Year awards Rodgers said: “I am very fortunate to see how hard they work and how hard they train.

There is not a training group in Britain that is working as hard as these players and they are getting their rewards for it. This feels very special.

We set out to do the very best we could this season and how it has transpired has been absolutely phenomenal.”

With four SPFL matches left to play Rodgers will freshen his side up while looking to go into the Scottish Cup Final having completed the season unbeaten.

Scott Brown will miss the matches against St Johnstone and Aberdeen through suspension with the hoops skipper taking a short family holiday while his team-mates continue on their bid to complete their SPFL campaign without defeat.
