Linfield have arranged a free for all ticket sale for their Champions League clash with Celtic.

Police Service Northern Ireland were unable to stage the match on the allocated dates of July 11 or 12 forcing it back to Friday July 14 with a 5pm kick off.

Tickets for two stands will be strictly allocated to known Linfield fans but tickets for the North Stand will be sold via Ticketmaster who’ll be selling in batches of four to anyone with access to a phone and bank/credit card.

Despite Celtic refusing to take an allocation of tickets for the match a number of fans have indicated that they will travel for the match while the club has a large and active supporter base in Belfast and across Ireland.

Announcing ticket sale details yesterday the club stated: “Supporters will also be able to purchase North Stand tickets online through Ticketmaster. These tickets will go on sale from Friday 7th July at 10:00 and are priced at £30 for adults and £20 concession. Purchases will be restricted to a maximum of 4 tickets per person and sales will only be available using a credit card for payment. All North Stand tickets will be allocated seating.”

Linfield warn that Celtic fans will be refused admission to the match but with tickets available to absolutely anyone they have basically given up on crowd control.

Tickets to the South Stand and Railway Stand will be carefully controlled by the club and available to known supporters from the club’s ticket office.
