Olivier Ntcham will undergo a medical before joining Celtic.
Terms have been agreed to sign the midfielder in a £4m deal that gives Manchester City a cut in any future sale.
Ntcham has spent the last two seasons on loan at Genoa but has little prospect of making the breakthrough at the Etihad.
Celtic will assess the 20-year-old’s fitness during the week before deciding whether he makes his debut against Linfield on Friday or the following day in the friendly against Lyon.
