Celtic fans were disgusted by the treatment handed out to their players during the 2-0 stroll against Linfield in the Champions League.
Scott Sinclair was treated to racist chanting throughout the match as PSNI stood by while Leigh Griffiths was pelted by missiles including a half bottle of Buckfast as PSNI looked on.
Incredibly Griffiths was booked for highlighting the bottle to the Spanish referee, surely a decision that Celtic will appeal against to UEFA.

Apparently if the bottle of Buckie had hit Leigh Griffiths, he’d have been sent off.

Repeatedly throughout the second half Griffiths was targeted by Linfield fans, if PSNI took any action it was as effective as David Healy’s strike force.
At noon Linfield announced that they had set aside a stand for Celtic fans that had bought tickets with the visiting fans enjoying a routine 2-0 win that sees Celtic through to play Rosenborg or Dundalk in the next round, either venue will be inhabited with fans familiar with the 21st century.
