Celtic fans were up in arms at the lack of protection given to their favourites in the 4-0 win at Dundee in the League Cup.
John Beaton seemed reluctant to discipline the home players with a string of late and dangerous fouls punctuating the whole match.
Jack Hendry set the tone in the opening ten minutes with a brutal over the ball attack on Olivier Ntcham. Beaton had a perfect view of the incident, instead of showing a red card he let it go with the award of a foul.
After that ‘marker’ it was open season with Kieran Tierney, Scott Sinclair and Patrick Roberts the main targets.
“Not even a yellow card given, could it have been a red?” ????
“That could break his ankle…” ????

Tierney’s career will be regretably short. Targeted every week; nothing done.

McCann was aided and abetted by Beaton. Looking on the bright side, it’s preparation for the weekend.

Four home players were booked alongside Olivier Ntcham with Callum McGregor cautioned for a dangerous lunge on Paul McGowan in stoppage time.
In keeping with his performance throughout the match Beaton got that decision wrong as well.
Craig Thomson will be the referee for Saturday’s match with Sevco at Ibrox.
