Dick Foster faces an SFA probe after being accused of booting in a referee’s door.

According to a report in The Sun the incident happened after St Johnstone’s 3-2 defeat at Dundee with the former Sevco ace furious at St Johnstone having a goal disallowed and a penalty that was awarded against him.

Those incidents contributed to a 3-2 defeat for St Johnstone with Dundee assistant Graham Gartland ordered out of the technical area by referee Alan Muir.

The Sun claims: “Foster’s frustrations boiled over after the final whistle when he smashed his studs through the door of the match official’s room.

If the incident is included in the referee’s report the former Rangers and Aberdeen man will be hauled before SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan.”

Foster joined St Johnstone last August from Ross County and was in the headlines last season when he was involved in a half time fight with team-mate Danny Swanson against Hamilton that saw both men sent off.

Despite being under a transfer ban at the time Foster joined Sevco in July 2013 from Bristol City. Shortly afterwards the Ibrox club played a friendly at Ashton Gate.

A two match ban would see the full-back sit out Saturday’s home match against Hamilton followed by the trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen.
