Lustig has a calf injury

|

Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Mikael Lustig is carrying a calf injury.

The defender played for Sweden against Luxembourg and Holland but was missing from the Celtic side that beat Dundee 1-0 today.

Lustig missed a couple of days training on international duty with Rodgers now keeping a close eye on the full-back ahead of Wednesday’s clash away to Bayern Munich.

Speaking to Radio Scotland before today’s match the Celtic boss said: “Mikael Lustig has played a lot of games, he’s come back from two international games and felt a bit in his calf so we can’t take any risk there.”

After today’s match Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong took part in a work out under the watch of Celtic’s medical team.

While Celtic were beating Dundee 1-0 Aberdeen kept level on points with the same scoreline away to Hibs where Gary Mackay-Steven scored the only goal of the game.

In the Bundesliga Bayern prepared for the visit of Celtic with a 5-0 win over Freiburg with Jupp Heyneckes back in charge for the game:
