Sevco fans are again miles off target

Encouraged by the quarterly report of Club 1872 it seems that some Sevco fans want to group fund the idea of reducing the allocation of tickets given to Celtic fans for Ibrox.

In the social media age group funding has become popular but the exact purpose of this move is hard to work out.

Dave King and his fellow directors are in charge of ticketing matters- are the Sevco fans wanting to form a fund to challenge the South African based criminal.

Two and a half years ago King swept to power, or regime change as some prefer to call it with promises of accountability and transparency.

None of his many promises have been kept but rather than hold him to account it seems that three defeats from Celtic in 10 months is too much for some fans to cope with.

All sorts of suggestions to reduce Celtic’s allocation are being put forward on fan forums but the basic design of a stadium 40 years behind the times makes any change impossible.

Segregating the Broomloan Road stand would result in hundreds of seats being made unavailable with police and stewarding costs going through the roof.

At Celtic Park hundreds of seats are already out of commission when Sevco visit with the club able to draw a line anywhere it likes to increase or decrease the allocations given to visiting fans.
