Chris Sutton has struck a chord with his verdict on Celtic’s 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
The BT Sport pundit upset a lot of Celtic fans with his comments on Ronny Deila but going against the grain has never caused Sutton to hold back.
Praise for Brendan Rodgers has been almost universal but there has been a few minor areas that have caused debate.
When the debate comes in the middle of a Champions League campaign that looks like ending with Celtic in third place it tells you everything about the success Rodgers has brought to the club.
Two years ago Celtic were losing in Molde with Kris Commons showing his displeasure at the management team.

So we just give up then? Naw. Bit by bit we should be bringing in the best we can get and give ourselves a better chance of getting results

Hi Big Man, you’ve been hanging on this centre half situ for a while. Sadly it is what it is, I think Brendan couldn’t get the man he wanted. I also think there is some unfair criticism out there for Craig Gordon today. He made some important saves for us.

There are no dissenters over Celtic’s style of play and approach to games but there is little doubt that the centre of defence is the weakest area of the squad.
With the first two choices for that position often bothered by injury it seems logical to look for a central defender arriving in January.
Bringing in the right man will have a big influence on the squad, if anything getting that area of the team upto scratch with the rest will make Celtic even stronger as an attacking force.
