Sevco have received an apology from one newspaper after claims that Bruno Alves refused to be named as a substitute against Hamilton Accies.
The story was broken in The Times, carried in The Sun then denied through a club spokesman in the Daily Record.
Alves missed the win over Hearts due to suspension then was on the substitutes bench against Partick Thistle while Danny Wilson and Young McCrorie continued in central defence.
There was no mention pre or post match about Alves being injured but after watching the defeat against Hamilton from the directors box The Times broke their story.
GM: Two newspapers printed a story this week about Bruno which was untrue. One has apologised this morning and the other has been encouraged to do so.

Yesterday in an interview with the club TV station Graham Murty revealed that Alves had suffered a back injury with no timeline for when he is expected to be available.
Alves has played in 12 matches this season, missing the Europa League exit to Progres Niederkorn and watching the derby defeat from Celtic with Ronaldo’s personal trainer in Madrid.
