No action on Hearts v Hamilton clash

|

The SFA will take no action against Craig Levein and Austin McPhee despite being ordered to the stand during Hearts’ stormy draw with Hamilton.

Levein was given a fairly straightforward dismissal from Bobby Madden but his assistant was involved in what can only be described as a stramash involving Darian McKinnon.

Hearts goalkeeping coach Paul Gallagher had to be restrained by police officers but despite reviewing the incident the SFA’s Compliance Officer has decided to take no action.

The decision is bound to interest Hibs boss Neil Lennon who received a two match touchline ban for his clash with Jim Duffy last season.

By taking no action the SFA are virtually inviting Police Scotland in to deal with football matters.

Madden was widely criticised for his performance, on Saturday the East Kilbride based ref will be the fourth official at the Sevco v Ross County match at Ibrox.

The Scottish Government hasn’t commented on the actions at Tynecastle.
