Chris Sutton was highly impressed by what he saw of Lewis Morgan as Saint Mirren beat Dundee United 2-0.
The win, thanks to two second half goals from the Scotland u-21 winger puts the Paisley side five points clear of United at the top of the Championship and was the perfect showcase for Morgan.

After the match he came very close to admitting that he was close to joining Celtic but will wait until early next week just to ensure that the move crosses the line.
Looking in last night, the standard in the Championship didn’t look great but Morgan was a cut above the rest with his ‘Scott Sinclair style’ play on the left flank.
Both goals came from cutting inside from the wing and letting go with right foot shots.
The deal with Celtic will almost certainly involve him being loaned back to St Mirren with the Paisley side involved in derby action on Tuesday when they face Morton at Cappielow.
