Celtic fans were underwhelmed by news of a bid for Jack Hendry being rejected.
Dundee revealed details of the offer at lunchtime today with most hoops fans puzzled by the interest in the defender.
The bid is believed to have been made at the end of last month with Neil McCann trying to stir up interest by revealing details of the bid today. It appears that Celtic haven’t gone back in with an improvement on the original offer which was believed to be around £500,000.
Brendan Rodgers has been looking to add quality to his side but not many Celtic fans think that Hendry is a first team contender or an improvement on what the club currently has.
Granted I haven’t see Jack Hendry much but what I have seen of him has done absolutely nothing to convince me he is good enough to be at Celtic

If jack Hendry is the “quality” BR is wanting then I’m not impressed

No harm to Jack Hendry but he’s no better than what we have. Rodgers wants “quality over quantity” that move mocks that quote tbh

I’m sure Jack Hendry will have a good career and fair play to the lad but he is so far away from what we need right now it’s scary..

Celtic are a shambles in the window, think we can all forget 10 in a row, embarrassing— RMP MCG (@RyanMcGoldrick_) January 26, 2018

Know very little about Jack Hendry, but maybe he could be another who could raise their level to English Premiership standard, like a McCarthy, Robertson or even a G. Caldwell. Brendan won’t buy just for the sake of it.

Mind in summer I cracked up about Rivaldo Coetzee being the only target. Folk said who else could we get on our budget. He was 700k. Now in January and it’s Jack Hendry from Dundee! I mean holy shit ????????

Dundee signed Hendry in the summer on a free transfer from Wigan Athletic after he had played half a dozen games on loan at MK Dons.
After 26 matches for Dundee the 22-year-old seems to be in demand with Newcastle and Southampton also credited with an interest.
