Angela Musonda was delighted by her bhoys impact on Celtic’s win over Zenit St Petersburg.

The proud mum accompanied Charly when he arrived in Glasgow to sign for the hoops on an 18 month loan deal from Chelsea.

Last night the vision painted by Brendan Rodgers came to life as Musonda took centre stage in the Europa League.

Replacing Eboue Kouassi midway through the second half Rodgers signalled his intent to take a lead to Russia for the second leg rather than settle for a clean sheet.

Instantly Musonda showed a few touches which troubled Zenit before the moment that no one will forget.

Quickly controlling a ball from his left the young Belgian took out two defenders with his cross to Callum McGregor who controlled the ball on his chest then placed a half volley into the roof of the net.

The return leg in Russia will be tightly contested but with Musonda on the park the Russian’s will be wary of Angela’s bhoy ending their Europa League hopes.
