Antonio Mateu Lahoz will referee Celtic’s Europa League clash with Zenit St Petersburg on Thursday night.

The Spaniard has been refereeing Champions League matches since 2012 and handled three group stage matches this season including PSG’s 3-0 win over Bayern Munich.

Celtic go into the match with Olivier Ntcham and Jozo Simunovic one booking away from a suspension but that is hardly likely to influence the plans of Brendan Rodgers.

With a goal from Callum McGregor deciding the first leg the tie is perfectly balanced with Zenit returning home today after a lengthy stint abroad.

On Friday Roberto Mancini’s side flew to Rome for a four day training camp while Celtic were struggling to a draw at home to St Johnstone.

Rodgers is likely to stick very closely with the team that started the first leg with no-one from the club’s lengthy injury list in contention to start Thursday’s match which kicks off at 6pm Celtic Park Time.
