Celtic fans have been left puzzled by the decision to reschedule the match against Dundee on April 4.

The fixture was the first victim of the best from the East on Wednesday night with the SPFL wisely calling it off early on Wednesday morning

Next midweek March 6/7 is free as is March 14 but for reasons unknown the game has been pushed back by a month.

Should there be any postponements later in the month there is potential for a fixture pile up with the final pre split matches coming on the weekend of April 8/9.

The March 14 date has been set aside for a potential Scottish Cup replay or rescheduled date for the match against Morton but at the start of the season the SPFL scheduled a full Premiership card for January 30/31 which was also set aside for fourth round Scottish Cup replays.

At noon today Celtic announced that there are no plans for a pitch inspection for the match against Morton with the car parks and surrounding areas clear of snow.
