Brendan Rodgers has looked through the hype gushing out of Ibrox and pinpointed a weakness in Graeme Murty’s revolution.

A couple of wins in the Premiership alongside handing out some hammerings in the Scottish Cup has sent delusions sky high among a support that needs little encouragement to get carried away.

All week there will be talk from the Ibrox legends about what the tribute act can do and what great shape they are in.

Celtic have rarely hit the heights this season but when it comes to the crunch domestically Rodgers’ side have delivered on the park without shouting the odds.

Sevco have lost once since they finished third in the Florida Cup with Rodgers taking close interest in how an under strength Hibs succeeded at Ibrox.

Speaking to the Daily Record Rodgers said: “I watched the Rangers versus Hibs game and Hibs played very well and with real tempo and intensity in their game. We have been there three times and won three times and won well.

We’ll go there next week with that same humility and same work ethic to get a result.”

Looking at Sunday’s opponents he added: “They have had some good results and one thing that they have got that they been searching for, certainly in my time up here, has been consistency.

They have players who know what it means to play for Rangers and be in and around it and they have got some spirit now but we go with equally the same attitude that we always have.”

Rodgers’ big decisions revolve around who replaces the suspended Mikael Lustig and whether he starts with Odsonne Edouard alongside Moussa Dembele in attack.
