Sutton’s Sevco warning

Chris Sutton had a few s words to share with Daily Record readers this morning.

Since Graeme Murty let slip about the dressing room celebrations that followed last Sunday’s draw for the Scottish Cup semi-finals no other subject has drawn as much attention in the build up to tomorrow’s match.

It was a rare slip by the rookie Ibrox boss who usually fills his media time discussing projects and journeys that are best left in the office rather than the dressing room.

Since Murts made that slip up everyone at Ibrox has been trying to cover their tracks as they attempt to deflect from the meaning that everyone else understood.

With We Are The People painted around along the corridors of dignity it is time for Murts to deliver on the park with Sutton believing that the caretaker has made his own job much much harder.

Celebrating drawing Celtic in the Scottish Cup? It didn’t take much to get motivated for an Old Firm game but I would have absolutely relished this nonsense,” the former Celtic striker stated.

I’d ask the question, were they cheering because they were happy with the draw – or was it a total bluff?

Come on. The closer we get to kick-off the more reality will kick in. They will be s****ing themselves when they go to bed tonight.”

Sutton’s Celtic side knew that they were good but did their talking on the park as Graeme Souness and his Blackburn Rovers side will recall, painfully.

Sticking with the s word theme the BT Sport pundit added: “We’ve heard plenty from them but it’s now time to put up or shut up. This is when you find out the real characters, because you often find the loudest shouters are the biggest s***bags. We’ll certainly find out tomorrow.”
