Scott Bain will continue in goals for Celtic at Motherwell on Saturday.

The loan keeper made his debut at Ibrox on Saturday and emerged as one of the heroes as Celtic recorded a 3-2 win over Sevco to go nine points clear in the race for the Premiership.

An ankle injury to Dorus de Vries on Saturday opened the door to Bain and although the Dutchman should be available for the match at Motherwell it looks like the new bhoy will keep his place.

Speaking at today’s media conference Rodgers said: “I thought Scott Bain was absolutely outstanding last week. To come into that game, that magnitude- if you can play in that game as a Celtic player away at Ibrox, with that atmosphere against your big rivals you know that you can play in any game of football.”

Jack Hendry also spoke to the media today which suggests that the former Dundee defender will be in from the start against Motherwell.

Celtic will be without the suspended Jozo Simunovic but have Mikael Lustig available again after suspension as the finishing line draws closer for the title.

Rodgers side need to win five of their eight remaining matches although that target would be reduced if Sevco drop any points in their matches before facing the hoops at Celtic Park after the split.
