The penny has dropped with Barry Ferguson that Celtic are miles ahead of his tribute act.
Sunday’s hammering at Hampden seems to have provided a watershed moment for the people as Brendan Rodgers’ side handed out another sound thrashing.
Just over a month ago Sevco fans were full of hope as they prepared to face Celtic at Ibrox and celebrated wildly being drawn against the hoops in the Scottish Cup.
Ferguson and others joined in the elation but are now left to deal with the deflation of a likely double treble while their club undergoes the annual summer turnover of players and staff.
“What’s going on at my old club is sad, it’s a worrying time,” the bankrupt former Rangers (IL) midfielder told PLZ Soccer.
“With what’s happened with Kenny and Lee, and the performance on Sunday, it’s horrendous.
“Celtic didn’t get out of second gear. It looked like a training game.

“That’s probably the most one-sided Old Firm game I’ve seen. It was a sad watch for me.
“Celtic midfielders got the ball in five yards of space. I’ve never seen that in an Old Firm game.
“The Rangers players should have been in there rattling their cages, in their faces. The gap smacked me right in the face. You could see how far Celtic are in front.
“The jersey is too heavy for some. They find the expectations a problem. There will be a big turnaround in players, and a new management team. It’s a helluva turnaround, it could put them back a year or two.”
Ferguson isn’t believed to be among the candidates to replace Graeme Murty despite the need to find a Real Rangers Man.
Murty is expected to face the media tomorrow to preview Sunday’s match at home to Hearts.
