Alex McLeish took his win percentage as Scotland manager down to 33% after a 2-0 defeat from Peru.

Incredibly the starting XI included Jamie Murphy!

The home-side barely got above warm-up mode as they made their final appearance before heading to Russia for next month’s World Cup.

Scotland’s two match trip was arranged by former Chief Executive Stewart Regan and endorsed by McLeish when he took over following failed attempts to recruit Michael O’Neill and Walter Smith.

None of the players that started in Lima were involved in the 1-1 draw with England a year ago at Hampden with the better players requiring rest at this time of the year.

Celtic’s Lewis Morgan was used as a 72nd minute substitute but hoops duo Scott Bain and Jack Hendry had to watch the 90 minutes bus parking exercise from the bench.

SCOTLAND: Archer, O’Donnell, Mulgrew, McKenna, Stevenson, McTominay, McGeouch (Shinnie, 76), McGinn (Paterson, 62), McLean (Cadden, 87), Murphy (McBurnie, 62), Phillips (Morgan, 72).

Unused substitutes: McLaughlin, Bain, Hendry, Christie, Russell
