As Dave King calls for transparency in Scottish football embarrassing details have emerged of how his previous club openly LIED to the Inland Revenue.

Transparency and accountability is the last thing that the clubs from Ibrox need as Stewart Regan acknowledged with his refusal to rake over old coals.

The need to move on has been pushed by a number of vested interests, especially those connected to former SFA President Campbell Ogilvie.

As well as masterminding the ‘EBT’ scam for a number of years Ogilvie sat in silence as Managing Director of Hearts while across the breakfast table his wife was a significant shareholder in Rangers (IL).

Hearts were often beaten by Rangers (IL) while Ogilvie was on board.

Having an interest in two clubs is against SFA rules, current Sevco director Douglas Park is the second largest shareholder in Hamilton Accies who transferred Greg Docherty to Ibrox in January.

The letter above confirms how Rangers (IL) lied to HMRC when probed into the use of disguised remuneration which they claimed was part of EBT payments.

Two years later when the Metropolitan Police raided Ibrox on another matter they uncovered the side letters issued to players and officials including Barry Ferguson, Neil McCann, Alex Rae and Steven Thompson.

The SFA has taken to action against ineligible players used in Scottish Cup ties for over a decade with Andrew Dickson, Paul Murray and Dave King- who were all in on the EBT scam- welcomed back to Hampden with the new club.

Dave Murray has never been punished for his role in a decade of cheating although Craig Whyte was given a lifetime ban and £250,000 fine by the SFA.
