Sevco stars Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller will appeal against the massive fines they received following a dressing room incident after the 4-0 Scottish Cup defeat to Celtic.

According to a report in The Sun the players have contacted PFA Scotland who will take up their case.

Wallace, who wasn’t in the match-day squad, has been fined four weeks wages while unused substitute Miller, who is now out of contract has been given a two week fine.

The match took place on April 15 but it took Sevco until May 31 to announce the fines.

Both players have had their reputations damaged while the money from the fines will come in handy for Steven Gerrard’s transfer warchest.

Two days after the match the players were suspended on full pay, with the timing of the ‘fines’ Miller and Wallace will have to stump up after receiving their usual end of the month payments for April and May.

Miller is now out of contract with Wallace returning for pre-season training on June 15 for the final year of his contract.

Axed caretaker Graeme Murty has still to decide whether to return as chief star-maker or whether to put in a claim for a pay-off.
