The SFA will decide by 5pm on Friday whether to bolster Sevco’s Europa League hopes.

Umar Sadiq and Lassana Coulibaly have both been tipped to join Steven Gerrard’s Revolution but require work permits to play in Scotland.

Neither player gets close to matching the requirements but the SFA have a history of leniency when it comes to exceptional circumstances.

Sevco has until 11pm tonight to register players with UEFA for their Europa League tie against Shkupi with Gerrard’s squad looking very light for options in central defence and in attack.

Last season Coulibaly, a former transfer target of Paris Saint Germain, played 20 Ligue 1 matches for Angers while Sadiq, who was once linked with Arsenal, played in 12 matches while out on loan at Breda in Holland.

So far Gerrard has paid transfer fees for three players, brought in three who were out of contract and one loan signing.
