Brendan Rodgers body swerved talk about Celtic’s transfer plans after the 1-1 draw with AEK Athens.

The English transfer window closes at 5pm today with the hoops boss making it clear than no more players will be moving out.

Since lifting the Scottish Cup in May Stuart Armstrong, Patrick Roberts and Erik Sviatchenko have moved on.

Recently there was interest in Kieran Tierney from Everton with Dedryck Boyata the subject of a £9m bid from Fulham with a further bid expected

During the course of the AEK Athens match John McGinn completed his £2.7m transfer from Hibs to Aston Villa.

Celtic still have three weeks to bring players in but transfer business isn’t the priority at Lennoxtown today with a visit to Tynecastle just two days away.

“My thinking now is for the players who are at the club, how to help us get better and see if we can get into the final qualifying round,” Rodgers told Radio Scotland.

“Obviously we have a game at the weekend too and that is my only concentration really.”

Boyata is likely to be involved against Hearts with the suspension of Kris Ajer increasing his chances of playing against AEK Athens on Tuesday.

Celtic are expected to complete the deals bringing Emilio Izaguirre and Daniel Arzani to the club within the next 48 hours.
