Chris Sutton has hit out at Steven Gerrard’s paranoia.

The new Sevco boss appeared measured and relaxed as he watched his side draw 1-1 with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

There were no outbursts after Alfredo Morelos was red carded or burst of emotion at the final whistle when he approached referee Kevin Clancy.

Between leaving the pitch and his media interviews something changed with the former Liverpool youth coach suddenly going on the offensive.

Claims about years of rough justice were greeted with amazement by fans of almost every Scottish clubs.

Last season Gerrard couldn’t be bothered with attending the three Sevco matches that followed his appointment but seems to have gone through a back catalogue of dubious decisions during the close season.

It’s unlikely that the SFA will charge him following his Pittodrie outburst with attention switching to which referee will be in charge of Sunday’s match against St Mirren.

Last season Ryan Jack was sent off four times in 17 matches, yesterday he suffered concussion following a clash with Stevie May.
