Filip Benkovic looks set to miss Celtic’s Betfred Cup tie against St Johnstone.
The defender was named in the starting XI to play at Kilmarnock on Sunday but pulled out before kick-off due to an Achilles problem.
Celtic have been dogged with injury problems in central defence this season but against St Mirren and Rosenborg it appeared that a formidable partnership was being put together.

Defender Filip Benkovic remains a doubt for McDiarmid Park with an Achilles problem, with Kristoffer Ajer set to return to central defence.
Benkovic was signed on loan from Leicester City on transfer deadline day following a £13m summer move from Dinamo Zagreb.
Ajer was moved to play at right-back against St Mirren then missed the Rosenborg and Kilmarnock matches due to injury.
Rodgers will announce his team at 6.30pm tonight with most eyes on the attacking positions after the Irishman made four changes from the win over Rosenborg to the defeat at Kilmarnock.
