PJ Crossan has joined the exodus of Celtic reserve players by joining Stranraer on loan until January.

The striker joins Ciaran Diver at the League One side who also have Luke Donnelly and Connor McManus on their books with another former Celt, Daniel Higgins joining on loan from Kilmarnock.

Crossan joined Mark Hill (Forfar) and Regan Hendry (Raith Rovers) on the move yesterday with Jack Aitchison, Robbie Deas and Ross Doohan moving out on loan earlier in the season.

With the new look Reserve League only providing 17 matches getting out on loan ensures that players have a chance of getting regular first team football.

League One football is very different to Tuesday afternoon’s at Cappielow but having been on loan at Alloa last season Crossan knows all about the physical side that he will come up against.

Stranraer are currently sitting in seventh place in League One and are in action away to Brechin City today.
