The Celtic support were in as good form as the players yesterday.

Over the last month Brendan Rodgers’ side have moved towards top gear with the 5-0 win over Hearts taking their aggregate for the week to 13-0.

With the gap to Hearts at the top of the table trimmed down to just one point, with a game in hand, there is a momentum about Celtic’s form as they chase an eighth successive league title.

The confidence that the team is playing with is being reflected in the stands with the fans delighted by the return to form.

After watching the champions labour their way through early season struggles away to Hearts, Kilmarnock and St Mirren it now looks like an entirely new team, not new club, that they are watching.

In the opening seven SPFL matches Celtic scored seven goals, over the last seven days they have scored 13 times as they crank up their title challenge while booking a place in the final of the Betfred Cup.
