BETFRED CUP WINNERS 2018
Success is never predictable, it throws together various factors but no-one could have predicted the role that Ryan Christie was to play.
In the final year of his contract, even up until mid October he looked like the nice guy that fell short, heart in the right place but just falling short. No hard feelings, good luck and move on. And then came Murrayfield.
A hamstring injury to Olivier Ntcham opened the door, Christie battered it down and left his stamp all over the semi-final as Hearts were swatted aside.
He wasn’t finished however, throughout November his influence on the team grew with the goals continuing through to Hampden and the winning goal against Aberdeen in the final of the Betfred Cup.
