Brendan Rodgers is hopeful of having Tom Rogic available for next week’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox.
The midfielder has been named in Australia’s squad for the Asian Cup with coach Graham Arnold expecting to get his squad together on December 27.
Australia’s first match is against Jordan on January 6 with Rodgers hoping that his midfielder can fly out to join his international team-mates in Dubai on January 30.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is “hopeful” a solution can be found to have Tom Rogic available for Rangers game. Doesn’t want him watching it in Dubai instead of playing in it.

The Asian Cup consists of 24 teams split into six groups with Palestine and Syria making up the Australian group.
The top two teams in each group go forward to the knock out stage which starts on January 20 alongside six third placed teams.
Celtic and Australia have enjoyed a healthy relationship over Rogic’s commitments but if he misses the Ibrox match co-operation in future could become strained.
