Jonathan Gould, Chris Sutton and Paddy McCourt were among the first to congratulate Celtic on winning the Betfred Cup for the third season running.
A goal from Ryan Christie, twice on loan at Aberdeen, shortly before half time was enough to give the hoops their seventh trophy in succession.
Aberdeen made a scrap of it with their physical play barely punished by referee Andrew Dallas who was refereeing his first major final.

The first half had been halted due to a head clash between Gary Mackay-Steven and Dedryck Boyata which saw the Dons winger stretchered off after a six minute break.
Boyata recovered to ping through the pass that set up Christie who netted the rebound after Joe Lewis had parried his initial shot.
Aberdeen pushed for an equaliser midway through the second half but hoops keeper Scott Bain picked up a winners medal barely having to make a save.
