A fourth missed red card incident involving Alfredo Morelos from yesterday’s action at Ibrox has emerged.

The Colombian striker was given licence to do as he please by referee John Beaton with three incidents infuriating Celtic fans.

A kick at Scott Brown, running his studs over Anthony Ralston’s back and a punch at the groin of Ryan Christie all went unpunished, Beaton failed to speak to Morelos in any of those incidents never mind issue any card.

From Celtic’s last visit to Ibrox it is clear that assistant referee Douglas Ross likes to highlight incidents right in front of him such as the RED CARD, RED CARD clash between Jozo Simunovic and Morelos. Yesterday, right in front of the extreme right wing Tory MP Morelos raised his arm towards Christie’s face. It seems that it was a case of PLAY ON, PLAY ON rather than RED CARD RED CARD.

As the SFA Compliance Officer returns to work after the festive period she can review Morelos’ performance alongside the dive of Graeme Shinnie at Pittodrie. A two match retrospective suspension won’t do Celtic much good but it will provide Gerrard with problem for the upcoming matches at Kilmarnock and Livingston.

Should the SFA fail to take action Celtic fans will be expecting action from their club, action rather than the standard ‘surprised and disappointed’ statement.
