Bobby Madden will referee Celtic’s visit to Kilmarnock on Sunday.

Eleven days after failing to punish Allan McGregor for his attack on Lewis Ferguson the SFA are clearly standing by the Lanarkshire based official.

On Friday the SFA offered McGregor a two match suspension for that incident with the appeal being heard today.

Earlier this season Madden refused to take any action when Scott McKenna committed a waist high attack on Odsonne Edouard that resulted in the striker having to be substituted. Again the SFA were forced to take retrospective action with the Dons defender given a two match suspension.

Following his midweek appointment at Pittodrie Madden got through the Hibs v Raith Rovers Scottish Cup tie without issuing a red or yellow card.

Celtic face third placed Kilmarnock looking to maintain their advantage at the top of the table with the match falling in-between the two legs of their Europa League ties with Valencia.

Andrew Dallas will referee the Championship match between Queen of the South and Dundee United.
